The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for young people in the UK.
They wanted to bring AI to a new audience and use it encourage young people to delve deeper in the potential of the technology. What better way but by showcasing how it can be used in the country's most popular sport.
The lower leagues don’t have the money or strategy resources that premier league clubs do so we provided English football with the first ever, free, voice-driven football coach using AI techniques.
We developed a football coach powered by Amazon’s Alexa that can provide bespoke pre-game and in-game tactics and inspiration to human managers. It also has the capacity to improve recommendations match by match using the data it gathers to become an even better coach.
We developed a conversational voice interface, using Amazon Alexa for the voice interface with OpenDialog behind the scenes powering the conversation.
We also wanted to make it a both and engaging and practical experience - there's inspirational quotes as well as advice on what to do if your players have been sent off.
200 pieces of coverage all over the world including BBC News, Sky Sports, The Independent, ITV, the Daily Mail and The Mirror.
GreenShoot Labs ran an "Introduction to AI" workshop for Wingate & Finchley's local community to support the STEM career goals of the project.
Using Amazon Alexa as an interface with conversations powered by OpenDialog
Harnessing a range of football strategy sources and making relevant advice based on the situation
Our open source conversation management platform OpenDialog allowed bespoke conversations to be designed, way beyond what would be possible with the Alexa platform alone.
